BUDGAM: As part of the 100-Day Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, a series of awareness programmes were organised across Budgam today to reinforce the message of a drug-free and healthy society.  The programmes witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, government officials, and members of the public.

The activities included anti-drug pledge ceremonies, awareness rallies, and interactive sessions conducted in collaboration with educational institutions and the Department of Youth Services & Sports. Participants reaffirmed their commitment to combating drug abuse and promoting a culture of healthy living.

During the programmes, speakers highlighted the harmful effects of substance abuse on individuals, families, and society, emphasizing the collective responsibility of all stakeholders in preventing drug addiction. Special emphasis was laid on empowering the youth to make informed choices, adopt positive lifestyles, and actively contribute towards building a safe and progressive society.

The programmes also promoted environmental conservation as a means of encouraging responsible citizenship and holistic well-being, reinforcing the message that a healthy environment and a healthy society go hand in hand. The awareness initiatives formed part of the ongoing campaign aimed at mobilising communities, educational institutions, and government departments to work collectively towards achieving the vision of a drug-free India.

The events concluded with participants taking a pledge to spread awareness against substance abuse and actively support the objectives of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
