Magical Dreams Productions Pvt. Ltd. announces 30th October 2015, as the release date for it's debut Bollywood film "31st October". The film is based on the darkest part of the Indian History, that witnessed the assassination of the Prime Minister of the country and the aftermath. The film is expected to be an edge of a seat thriller and moreover a very emotional cinematic experience. Shivaji Lotan Patel, the national award winning director, who has directed the film is very confident of the film which he calls a masterpiece, looks to be eyeing an addition to his National Awards berth with 31st October.
The film casts a very talented cast and the leads are played by the famous Vir Das who would be seen in an altogether new avatar and Soha Ali Khan who has succeeded in a similar kind of a role in past in the Bollywood block buster "Rang De Basanti". Harry Sachdeva, the producer of the film on being asked about the reason for choosing the release date, said that it is going to be the completion of 31 years of the tragedy of 31st October 1984, and there's no better way to pay homage to the martyrs of the pogrom than presenting their story to the nation in the form of a film.
The film is a homage to the victims and I am glad that I could do this bit for the cause and I am happy that my debut to the industry has been with this subject which was a dream and a dream come true is always special. The film is expected to do really well across the country especially in North India and could really be a treat for the abroad audience especially in countries like Canada, where the premier of the film was done last month that got an overwhelming response and a stand up ovation. Since the subject is a virgin one, an emotional one, based on a true life story and no big film being releasing around the date, the film could result to be the party reason for the team.
