JAMMU: Lalded women welfare society (regd.) Staged play namely “Bijlee Ki Bachat” at greater kailash Jammu dated 09.05.2015 in which consumers were suggested some tips how to save electricity by applying those methods. It was also shown that we should not steel electricity by using hooks being a awaken and responsible citizen so that power supply may continue throughout 24 hours and nobody will suffer due to same. The script conceived and written by Rampaul and directed by Naveen pal.
The story opens with “Nattu” who is always crying for power cut and holding responsible to PDD staff for all the time, showing resentment against them. One day the power supply of his house went off, he visited to the spot where the transformer is installed for supply. He found that the transformer is burning, it got blast. The darkness continued for 3 days without restoring the power supply however with active action of the deptt.
The power was restored back. “Nattu” was is in furious mood and could not understand the whole matter as he was facing a lot of difficult conditions that how to sustain without electricity . Meanwhile his close friend and along with PDD staff members arrived at residence for taking the meter reading and to check up the load & after finding some fishy, his friend checked his supply load of meter and found that he has put bulbs of 100w each in all the rooms and all were burning in the day time showing carelessness, his all electronic gadgets were also found non ISI mark , consuming much power as compare to power saving tubes.
His friend advised him that if you want to save power and to save electric bills, then some points you have to follow and in this way your mohalla transformer will not get burnt which put you always in difficulty to live on. “Nattu” listened all the important suggestions and promised to follow to avoid heavy bill and for power save. He also thanked the department giving for valuable tips and told that he will further convey to all his friends. Those who acted in the play were Rampal (writer / actor / social activist and coordinator to LWWS), Naveen Pal (actor / director), Santosh Basotra, sonu, sunil etc.
