SRINAGAR: In a unique initiative during the world heritage week celebration, the Department of Archives, Archaeology and Museum (DAAM), J&K under the supervision of the Director, Kuldeep Krishan Sidha,   A special visit was organized for a group of specially-abled individuals and ex-servicemen to the SPS Museum Srinagar and Burzhaom Archaeological Site today.

The initiative aimed to provide an enriching cultural experience, promote historical awareness, and acknowledge the invaluable contributions of ex-servicemen and the inspiring spirit of specially-abled participants. During the visit, the visitors explored the museum’s significant historical artifacts, heritage collections, and exhibits that reflect the region’s rich cultural evolution. At the Burzahom Archaeological Site, experts briefed the visitors about the site's history, excavation processes, and notable findings, making the tour both educational and engaging.

The ex-servicemen shared their experiences, which added a meaningful dimension to the visit and inspired the younger participants.  Participants expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the thoughtful arrangements and the opportunity to connect with the region’s heritage in a comfortable and memorable manner.
