SRINAGAR: The sixth day of the 5th Kashmir World Film Festival (KWFF) at Tagore Hall, Srinagar, witnessed a cinematic celebration of exceptional diversity, emotion, and artistry as 11 films from India and abroad captivated audiences throughout the day.
The screenings, which began at 12 noon, represented a vibrant blend of cultures, languages, and storytelling styles — from intimate human dramas to thought-provoking social narratives. The films screened on Day 6 included:

- Breathless Childhood – Dir. Siraj Hussain (Hindi, India)
- Trans Kashmir – Dir. S. Akmal Hanan & Surbhi Dewan (Kashmiri & Urdu, India)
- Mujhe Beti Chahiye – Dir. Vinod Chopra (Hindi, India)
- Ayesha – Dir. Tuhinangshu Mukherjee (Hindi, India)
- Mitti Naseeb Di – Dir. Balbir Singh Sahni (Punjabi & Pahari, India)
- The Human Odyssey (Marthyaloka Ithihasam) – Dir. Atal Krishnan (Malayalam, India)
- Partav – Dir. Dilnawaz Muntazir (Kashmiri, India)
A highlight of the day was the screening of “Kaise Hain Aap?”, directed by veteran actor and filmmaker Lalit Parimoo, who was present in person during the screening. His presence drew warm applause from the audience, with many expressing admiration for his contribution to both film and theatre. The film, with its deep emotional undertones and social commentary, sparked an engaging post-screening discussion that reflected KWFF’s spirit of cultural dialogue and artistic exchange.
Festival attendees also praised the day’s lineup for its rich linguistic and thematic diversity, with films exploring subjects ranging from environmental consciousness and women’s rights to human endurance and spiritual quests.

The much-awaited closing ceremony and awards distribution will be held at 3 p.m., where the best films of the festival will be honored for their excellence in direction, storytelling, cinematography, and cultural representation.
As the festival nears its conclusion, it continues to reaffirm its vision — to make Kashmir a global stage for creative voices, where art transcends boundaries and stories become bridges between cultures.
