JAMMU: Dr Varinder Sharma, Co-convenor Professional Cell Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) today said that the kind of development that Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed in past ten years is exemplary and could be set as a benchmark for future growth of this Union Territory (UT) which has always faced sheer neglect in the hands of previous rulers, majority of whom were dynasts and didn’t want people to progress, become prosperous or self-reliant. Now that controversial article 370 stands abrogated and doors of development opened for commoners, there’s no limit to development or prosperity.
Dr Varinder Sharma said that as desired by the union minister of coal and mines, G Krishna Reddy who is also election in-charge of J&K BJP, professional cell of party is fully geared up to face elections and had immense data that can be shared with common people enabling them to count their blessings in days to come. Massive infrastructural development that’s been completed or in being built testifies how the UT is emerging as the most sought-after destination of pilgrims, tourists and especially investors.
Locked from all sides with mountains, international borders or states, Jammu and Kashmir was confined to a marginalised kind of development but ever since massive road network and rail link up to Kashmir has come into existence, the UT is well geared up to make the presence of mega investors felt in a big way in days to come, Dr Varinder said adding that be it religious places like Mata Vaishno Devi or Shri Amarnath Ji cave shrine, educational institutions like IIT or IIM besides health institutions like AIIMS, Jammu and Kashmir could never ever have witnessed their presence here during the regime of Congress, PDP or NC.
It's because of the visionary policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi that J&K is developing at par with any other UT or state in the country. In addition to this, whatever BJP had said in his party manifesto during past elections including abrogation of article 370, everything stands done in the larger interest of people. Now from here onwards J&K is writing a new chapter of development and prosperity in which young boys and girls are equal partners and are writing their own destiny.
Away from violence of gun culture, Jammu and Kashmir youth are doing their best and adding to their socio-economic upliftment in a big way. The BJP leader said, political parties like Congress, NC or PDP are terribly shaken to witness this kind of development which is why they still are trying to create confusion amongst masses, polarise societies, misguide youngsters or trying to play same old divisive politics to create enmities between regions and religions but nothing is going to work as people have come to know about their old tactics of staying in power.
Dr Varinder Sharma said, “Professional Cell of J&K BJP is all geared up to visit every nook and corner of J&K and make people know about massive roads and bridges that are connected Kashmir to Kanyakumari, health sector that’s providing people insurance, education that’s coming up with world class institutions, borders that have fallen silent and tourism that’s attracting millions”. These, he said, will ensure that BJP emerges triumphant in the coming Assembly poll. He added that the Modi Government is committed to pace up the development in Jammu & Kashmir which people realise and are prepared to receive with open arms.
Dr Varinder also appreciated the work done by party president Ravinder Raina, incharge J&K and Ladakh, Tarun Chugh, Union Minister, Dr Jitendra Singh, MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, MP (Rajya Sabha) Ghulam Ali Khatana, Seh-Prabhari, J&K, Ashish Sood, former Dy CM, Dr. Nirmal Singh and former Dy. CM Kavinder Gupta in taking party's programmes and policies amongst masses during past several years.
