PULWAMA: As part of the ongoing celebrations marking 150 Years of 'Vande Mataram', a series of cultural and educational events were organised today across educational institutions and government offices in Pulwama district.

Special morning assemblies were held in various schools and colleges, dedicated to the mass singing of Vande Mataram. The day also witnessed enthusiastic participation of students in essay competitions, debates, poster-making and quiz contests, highlighting the song’s enduring significance in India’s freedom movement and its message of unity and patriotism.

The events were conducted in institutions including GDC Boys Pulwama, GDC Women Pulwama, GDC Tral, GDC Rajpora, GDC Awantipora, and GDC Pampore. In addition to educational institutions, pledge-taking ceremonies were also held at the District Soil and Water Conservation Office, Pulwama, and the Chief Animal Husbandry Office, Pulwama, reaffirming collective commitment to the ideals of nation-building and unity symbolised by Vande Mataram.
