BANDIPORA: Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Indu Kanwal Chib, today chaired a meeting of the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) at the Mini Secretariat to review and approve cases under Mission YUVA. During the meeting, 98 cases were placed before the Committee for consideration. After detailed scrutiny, 74 cases were approved, while the remaining cases were returned to the respective departments for further verification and submission of complete feasibility reports.

The meeting also took a comprehensive review of the district’s overall progress under Mission YUVA, including the status of cases recommended to banks, sanctioned, disbursed and rejected, to assess the programme’s implementation at the grassroots level. The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers to ensure rigorous verification of all cases to uphold transparency and accountability in the approval process. She reiterated the instructions of the Chief Secretary, underscoring the need to prioritise rehabilitated youth and victims of terror under Mission YUVA to enable sustainable livelihood generation.

On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner directed the bank authorities to analyse all rejected cases along with the reasons for rejection and to ensure timely resolution wherever feasible. The meeting was attended by officers from DIC Bandipora, DSWO Bandipora, ARTO Bandipora, PCB Bandipora, JKEDI Bandipora and other concerned officers.
