JAMMU: To ensure that basic facilities reach the doorsteps of the people, former Deputy Mayor Jammu and senior BJP leader Baldev Singh Billawaria is actively addressing public grievances by organizing Public Darbars across the Jammu area. Continuing his outreach, Billawaria recently listened to the concerns of residents at a Public Darbar held in Darap Panchayat, RS Pura-Jammu South constituency.

During the event, Billawaria emphasized the importance of Public Darbars in informing people about the party's ideology and government schemes. He highlighted that BJP leaders and activists are committed to engaging with the community beyond election periods, participating in both their joys and sorrows.

A key demand raised at the Darbar was the need to pave the road connecting Shiv Nagar Mohalla to Darap Panchayat, which has remained in a rough condition for years, with inadequate drainage facilities. Local residents expressed their frustration over the lack of attention to this issue. Billawaria assured them that the concerned department has been informed, and the development work will commence soon following the completion of the tender process.

Additionally, Sohan Singh Katal from Darap Panchayat requested the beautification of crematoriums in Darap and Shergarh, including the construction of a blacktopped road, a bathing place, seating arrangements, and lighting facilities. Girdhari Lal from Khawaskhan village called for the construction of a bridge to benefit the residents of Khawaskhan and Shergarh. Billawaria pledged to address these demands, ensuring appropriate arrangements for funerals and lighting.

Billawaria promised to bring these issues to the attention of Jammu MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, aiming to provide basic facilities to the people at their doorsteps. He expressed gratitude to the people of Darap Panchayat for their enthusiastic support during the Lok Sabha elections and committed to completing pending development works in the Panchayat. He assured that all government schemes would reach the public, and he would work diligently towards this goal.

The event was attended by Former Naib Sarpanch Ashwani Kumar, Lambardar Rajinder Kumar, Panch Suman Devi, Billa Beli, Mohan Singh, Jaswant Singh, and other local leaders.
