DODA: In commemoration of the 150th anniversary of India’s iconic national song “Vande Mataram,” the Government Degree College (GDC) Kastigarh organized a grand mass recitation program on the college Campus. The event held under the guidance of the Principal, Prof. Koshal Mangotra aimed at fostering patriotism, cultural pride and a deep respect for India’s glorious heritage among students and staff members.

The program commenced with the soulful recitation of “Vande Mataram,” which filled the campus with an overwhelming sense of national pride, unity, and devotion to the motherland. Faculty members, non-teaching staff and students participated with great enthusiasm, showcasing their reverence for the national song that inspired millions during India’s struggle for independence. The proceedings of the event were efficiently conducted by Dr. Anupam Lata, who also highlighted the historical importance and emotional strength of the song that continues to symbolize the spirit of unity and sacrifice.

Principal Prof. Koshal Mangotra appreciated the active participation of students and staff in celebrating this historic milestone. He emphasized that such events play a vital role in instilling patriotic values, promoting unity and strengthening national integrity among the younger generation.

The event concluded with a collective pledge to uphold the values of freedom, harmony, and cultural pride. The mass recitation at GDC Kastigarh, Doda, served as a heartfelt tribute to the 150 glorious years of “Vande Mataram,” reaffirming its timeless message of “Ek Bharat”.
