BARAMULLA: Under the supervision of the ARTO Baramulla Mukhtar Ahmad Sofi, the Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) Baramulla conducted an enforcement drive across various locations from Narbal to Tangmarg to ensure adherence to the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act and Rules.
During the drive, over 100 vehicles were inspected for various violations. A total of 32 e-challans were issued on the spot, while 2 vehicles were blacklisted for serious contraventions. The cumulative fine amount from the e-challans is expected to be around âč70,000.
The ARTO Baramulla stated that such drives are being conducted regularly to promote road safety, regulate traffic, and ensure that transport and passenger vehicles operate in accordance with the law.
