SRINAGAR: J&K Pollution Control Committee observed the World Ozone Day to highlight the significance of the Ozone layer, which is our planet's natural shield and absorbs harmful UV rays. JK Pollution Control Committee observed the day with the theme ‘From Science to Global Action’ in the conference hall of JKPCC Srinagar Kashmir. The event was attended by renowned scientists, scholars, industrialists, students, environmentalists and officials of JKPCC Kashmir.
During the event, Regional Director JKPCC Kashmir apprised the audience about the significance of OZONE layer and the substances responsible for its depletion, and the importance of adopting eco-friendly practices to contribute to this Global mission. Officials and office bearers from Industrial Association Khonmoh spoke on the importance of the day. Students from Little Angels School participated in the debate.
