SRINAGAR: Police station Saddar, Srinagar today busted a gang of thieves who were involved in many theft incidents in the area of police station Sadder, Srinagar. Acting on a specific information a Police party of police station Sadder arrested two burglaries and recovered stolen property worth lakhs on their disclosure. The recovered property include 2 laptops, 2 video cameras , shawls, lcd and some wrist watches .The theft was made in a house located at Gulberg Colony a year ago for which case FIR no 03 2014 stands registered in police station sadder.
During questioning, the gang admitted of having stolen gold ornaments also from the same house and subsequently sold it which is yet to be recovered. More arrests and more recoveries are expected soon. Meanwhile, Police station sadder arrested four persons in case FIR No. 32/2015 relating to a theft in a shop near Gurdwara Baghat. The stolen property including one genset, four water pumps and copper wire was recovered from them.
