JAMMU: Crime Branch has completed investigation in rupees 84.00 lacs embezzlement & misappropriation case of Banihal, district Ramban and produced challan in the court of law for judicial determination.
The accused against whom the challan has been produced have been identified as Mohd Ashraf Rather S/O Gulam Rasool Rather R/O Tangmarg, Baramula and Aftab Ahmad Bhat S/O Gulam Mohd Bhat R/O Thather, Banihal district Ramban.
The case was initially registered at Police Station Banihal, district Ramban on the written complaint of one Javed Ahmad Wani and subsequently transferred to Crime Branch Jammu by PHQ J&K for indepth investigation. Javed ,who was owner of Gousia Filling Station Banihal , had levelled serious allegations of criminal breach of trust, embezzlement, misappropriation and cheating against Manager of Gousia Filling Station Mohd. Ashraf Rather of Tangmarg , Baramula and Co-Manager Aftab Ahmad Bhat of Thather Banihal.
Senior Superintendent of Police Crime Jammu , Benam Tosh said that investigation of the case FIR No. 10 /2021 has been completed, offences u/s 408 ,120-B ,420 RPC have been made out against the accused and challan consisting of five parts year-wise has been produced in the Ld. court of JMIC Banihal for judicial determination.
