SRINAGAR: The second day of the ongoing Kashmir World Film Festival 5th Edition began on an inspiring note with a master class by Cultural Activist Mr. Deepak Kumar from Jammu, who captivated participants with his insights on the evolving role of cinema as a medium of cultural preservation and social change.
The interactive session offered young filmmakers and students valuable perspectives on storytelling rooted in regional diversity and contemporary issues.
Following the master class, from 12:00 noon onwards, 16 films were screened, representing a rich blend of languages, cultures, and cinematic styles. The films showcased were as follows:

The screenings captivated audiences with a diverse range of themes â from poetic resistance and human relationships to environmental and social reflections â highlighting the depth and versatility of emerging filmmakers.
The festival will continue its creative journey tomorrow morning with another master class by renowned speakers Syed Humayun Qaisar and Raza Murad, both well-known for their contributions to cinema and cultural discourse.
From 12:00 noon onwards, 11 films will be screened, featuring works in multiple languages and genres, promising a truly global cinematic experience.
