JAMMU: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu has been honoured by the Town Official Language Implementation Committee, Jammu, during its biannual meeting for exemplary adherence to the Government of India's Official Language Policy. This prestigious recognition underscores IIM Jammu's commitment to promoting Hindi as the official language and integrating it effectively into administrative and academic functions. Under the leadership of Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu, the institute has consistently prioritized the promotion of Hindi in official work and cultural initiatives.
Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu mentioned that this achievement reflects the institute’s dedication to upholding the linguistic and cultural ethos of India. He emphasized that the use of Hindi in official processes not only strengthens administrative efficiency but also fosters inclusivity and national pride. He further stated that such recognitions motivate the institute to continue its efforts toward innovation and excellence in implementing the Rajbhasha policy effectively.
The Hindi Rajbhasha Samiti, IIM Jammu under the guidance and leadership of Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu have been instrumental in driving these efforts forward. The Hindi Rajbhasha Committee comprises of Dr. Anuja Akhouri, Co-Chairperson, Hindi Rajbhasha Samiti, Cmdr. Kesavan Baskkaran and Shri Ashish K Isher, Hindi Rajbhasha Adhikari, IIM Jammu. Their dedication and proactive initiatives have played a key role in achieving this milestone.
