JAMMU: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu, under the leadership of Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu, welcomed students from Delhi Public School, Udhampur, and Govt. Higher Secondary School, Muthi, for an interactive campus visit on 22nd Oct 2024. The initiative, part of IIM Jammu’s ongoing community engagement efforts, aimed to inspire young students toward higher education and leadership.
A total of 154 students participated in the campus visit,including 117 students from Delhi Public School, Udhampur, accompanied by Mrs. Bhanvi Sharma (Headmistress), Mrs. Rakhi Gupta (Chief C.C.A), Mr. Sachan Kotwal (PGT Eco), and Mr. Vishal Mehra, along with 37 students accompanied by their Ms. Kiran Sharma, Principal, Govt Higher Secondary School, Muthi, Ms. Sucheta Hansa, Ms. Monica Dubey, Ms. Neha Khajuria, Ms. Kamlesh Sharma, from Govt. Higher Secondary School, Muthi, participated in the campus visit.
Prof. B.S. Sahay emphasized IIM Jammu’s commitment to fostering a learning environment that benefits not only its students but the broader community as well. He noted that such visits aim to ignite curiosity and aspirations in young minds, motivating them to dream big and work hard toward success.
During their visit, the students were given a career counseling session, providing them with detailed information about the various programs offered at IIM Jammu and the enrollment process. They engaged in a fruitful interaction, discussing their queries and concerns regarding career paths and the steps to gaining admission into IIMs/IITs.
The students also toured IIM Jammu’s state-of-the-art facilities, including the Nalanda Library and smartclassrooms, while receiving an insightful overview of the IIM system. This experience was designed to expose students to opportunities at premier institutions like IIM Jammu, encouraging them to pursue their academic goals with ambition and dedication.
The students and accompanying teachers expressed their heartfelt appreciation for the warm welcome and enriching experience, highlighting the lasting impact of their visit to IIM Jammu.IIM Jammu continues to play a vital role in promoting educational outreach and excellence in the region, in line with its mission of nurturing future leaders and change-makers.
