PULWAMA: Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) on Saturday organized one-day awareness cum orientation program for 38 students of Government Degree College, Sumbal at its Sempora campus, here.
The exposure visit was focused to orient the students towards entrepreneurship and choosing it as a career path in future. The program also aimed at providing the exposure related to overall functioning of JKEDI and the development of startup ecosystem in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir.
During the visit, the students interacted with the faculty of JKEDI who briefed the them about the evolving startup scenario and made them aware about various Government incentives and programs available for aspiring entrepreneurs. The students were briefed about the various program verticals of JKEDI and their functions.
The role of entrepreneurship as a career choice was also discussed during the visit. Later the students participated in the question answer session and put forth their understanding of various topics related to startups and entrepreneurship. The exposure visit was coordinated by the Centre for Innovation, Incubation and Business Management (CIIBM) along with other program verticals of JKEDI.
The students were accompanied by Dr. Fahima Gul, Assistant Professor and Prof. Ishfaq Abdullah Rather, Assistant Professor from Government Degree College, Sumbal and Syed Nazneen, District Nodal Officer, JKEDI, Bandipora.
