REASI: The District Administration Reasi, in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Police, today organised a gala event at the historic Bhim Garh Fort as part of the celebration of 150th anniversary of India’s National Song “Vande Mataram.”
The event witnessed the participation of senior officers including SSP Paramvir Singh; ADDC Sukhdev Singh Samyal; ADC Rakesh Kumar; CPO Narinder Kumar; Addl. SP Iftqar Ahmed, Tehsildar, EO MC Reasi and other district officers.
The celebration commenced with a soulful rendition of Vande Mataram and the National Anthem by the District Police Piping Brass Band, filling the air with a sense of national pride. The grandeur of Bhim Garh Fort, illuminated with tricolour hues, amplified the spirit of the occasion as officers, students and local citizens participated in large numbers.
Speaking on the occasion, officers highlighted the historical and cultural significance of Vande Mataram, penned by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee in 1875, which continues to inspire generations with its message of unity, sacrifice and devotion to the motherland.
The celebration at Bhim Garh Fort stood as a tribute to India’s glorious heritage and reaffirmed the collective commitment of the people of Reasi to uphold the ideals of patriotism and national integrity.
