UDHAMPUR: One-day annual Pingla Mata Yatra was taken out today with religious fervor and enthusiasm, organized by Adi Shakti Sewak Sanstha, Pingla Mata Udhampur. Additional Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Joginder Singh Jasrotia was the Chief Guest who formally flagged of the yatra on the occasion.
Former Legislator, Balwant Singh Mankotia, Former President MC, Jogeshwar Gupta, Ex- BDC Chairman Ghordi, Aarti Sharma, Ex- Councillors, Prominent citizens, Station House Officer, Raghuvir Chaudhary, President, Adi Shakti Sansathan Pingla Mata, Ashok Gupta were present on the occasion.
While speaking on the occasion the Chief guest congratulated the organiser for holding such a religiously affair. He said that such type of efforts will go a long way to inculcate religious beliefs and keeping society away from drug addiction. Devotees were seen enthusiastic to pay their obeisance at the sacred shrine of Pingla Mata situated on a hill top at village Pinger in Tehsil Ramnagar of district Udhampur.
President ASSS Pingla Mata, Ashok Gupta said that in the annual affair, free langar and light refreshment stalls were organized by the Sanstha and local people at different locations en-route the Cave Shrine. Beside this bus services were also arranged for the devotees from Udhampur to Village Kahua the base camp of the Cave Shrine.
He thanked the devotees in general and people in particular who came forward to support the Sanstha in organising such affairs in a successful manner. He also extended heartfelt gratitude to the district administration for elaborate arrangements of security, drinking water, power, sanitation etc.
