POONCH: An awareness programme on Bhartiya Nyaya Samhita-2023(BNS-23), Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat and Mission LiFE etc. was organized by Central Bureau of Communication Poonch, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India. The programme was organized at Govt. HSS Sawjian, Mandi, of District Poonch in the presence of Anwar Khan, Principal GHSS Sawjian, Sh. Sandeep Sharma, Forest Block Officer, Jullas, Sh. Sushant Singh Sambyal, Chouki Officer Sabjian, Faculty & Students of GHSS Sawjian, GHS Gagrian, GGMS Sawjian, GMS Chaprian, GMS Maidan, Officers and officials of CBC Poonch. Expert Lectures, Cultural Programmes, Open Quiz, distribution of New India magazine and Drawing competition were the main attractions of the day.
Principal GHSS, Sawjian Sh. Anwar Khan said these kinds of awareness programmes on the schemes and programs of Government of India should be organized on regular intervals so that the general public especially in the far-flung boarder areas like Sawjian get to know about the benefits of these schemes. Sh. Anwar further said, the programme organized by CBC at Sawjian is first of its kind in the area and it’s utility is multidimensional and beneficial for the people of this area.
Sh. Vijay Mattoo, Field Officer, Central Bureau of Communication, Poonch in his address said, the government is working towards the upliftment of the poor in the country through its various centrally sponsored schemes and programs and the pro-poor schemes like PM Awas Yojna, PM Jan Arogya Yojna, Ujwwala Yojna, PM Grib Kalyan Ann Yojna, Shishu Janani Surakha Yojna, Poshan Abhiyan, Jan Aushadhi Kendras, Khelo India, Kissan Samman Nidhi, DBT, , Saubhagya Yojna, Har Ghar Jal, SBM, KCC, Stand up India, Start Up India, Kaushal Vikas, Mudra Loans, etc. of the government have brought a revolution in the country.
Sandeep Sharma, JK Forest Block Ofdficer spoke about the aims and objectives of Mission LiFE and enlightene d the audience about National Afforestation Programme, National Mission for Green India, Forest Fire Prevention & Management Scheme, Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority under Deptt of Forest, Environment & Climate Change, Green India Mission, Har Gaon Haryali etc. He also administered the Mission LiFE Pledge.
Imran Khan Lecturer in Persian, GHSS spoke about Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Scheme of Govt Of India. He said that India a country of diversity. India has different religions, castes, colours, languages, festivals, cuzines, attires, cultures etc. Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) program was announced by the Honorable Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi on 31st October, 2015 during the Rashtriya Ekta Divas to promote engagement amongst the people of states and union territories in the country in order to enhance mutual understanding and bonding between people of diverse cultures, thereby securing stronger unity and integrity of India.
The program envisions to portray the unity amongst cultural diversity of the paired states and union territories, as per the guidelines of Ministry of Human Resources and Development. The cultural exchange programs will help us admire and appreciate our cultures mutually and thus, build a sense of togetherness and bonding. National integration, irrespective of the regions that we hail from, is of vital importance since the key to our progress is hidden in our unity amidst our diversity. Jammu & Kashmir is paired with Tamil Nadu he said.
Sushant Singh SI Police Department spoke on BNS-2023. He said the three new criminal laws-Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita and the Bhartiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023 are an endeavour to make the criminal justice system more accessible, accountable, credible and justice driven. He explained the modifications and utility of the amendments made by the Indian Government.
The programme was conducted by Smt. Nahida Iqbal Khan, GHSS. Open quiz was conducted by Vijay Mattoo, CBC Poonch in which quests related to CSS and current affairs were asked with equal amd active participation og participant schools.
During the event, a drawing conpetion was organized in which 30 students participate and Asia Kouser (9th), Rizwana Bano (9th), Altaf Ahmed(12th ) Naima Tabassum (9th ) from GHSS Sawjian, Shahista Kouser (7TH )GHS Gagrian, Mohd. Bilal (8th) GMS, Sawjian, Samreen Tabassum GMS, were chosen as the bset from their respective schools. Mesmerizing cultural items were presented by students of cluster schools of GHSS Sawjian. The competition was held at GHSS Sawjian.
Theme based cultural items were presented by artists of M/s Saraswati Sangeet Vidyalay, Poonch, a Private Registered Troupe of CBC J&K. All the guests and participants were honoured suitably by CBC Poonch.
