BARAMULLA: Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Minga Sherpa today chaired a meeting to review the functioning of Kissan Khidmat Ghars (KKGs) established across the district under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP). It was informed that out of 180 sanctioned Kissan Khidmat Ghars, 140 are functional under Phase I and Phase II. It was also apprised that seed, pesticide, and fertilizer licenses have been issued to the Krishi Udhamis (KUs) to facilitate their agri-business operations.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the Krishi Udhamis to register more farmers and farms to enhance income generation and livelihood opportunities. He further instructed the Nodal Officers to monitor the performance of KKGs on a daily basis to ensure effective implementation of HADP objectives.

The DC assured every possible support from the administration to strengthen the technical and professional capacities of Krishi Udhamis for promoting sustainable and modern agricultural practices. The meeting was attended by the Chief Planning Officer, officers from Agriculture and Allied Departments, District and Sectoral Officers, and concerned Krishi Udhamis.
