KATHUA: Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Dr. Rakesh Minhas, chaired District Level Committee (DLC) to review the progress of the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) here at the Conference Hall of DC Office complex. ADDC Kathua Surinder Mohan, CPO Ranjeet Thakur, Chief Agriculture Officer Sanjeev Rai, and officers from various line departments were present.
At the outset, the CAO Kathua reported significant advancements in the baseline survey being conducted by all line departments, with 70 percent of the work completed to date. It was given out in the meeting that several key milestones achieved under HADP including 932 Registrations, 741 Enrollment besides 554 courses are Completed.
Dr. Minhas emphasized the importance of sustaining progress and announced an additional target of 400 investments to be secured within the next 10 days. The CAO assured that concerted efforts are being made to reduce pending tasks and streamline processes, and as part of these efforts, further enrollments will be temporarily halted.
In the sericulture sector, the committee reviewed 499 applications, of which 129 have been reverted. The DC directed the concerned departments to expedite the resolution of pending applications and called for a weekly progress report to ensure ongoing performance and accountability.
Dr. Minhas reiterated that a united commitment to the successful implementation of HADP is required from all stakeholders and urged all departments to maintain the momentum in achieving the program's objectives. He stressed the need for coordinated efforts among all stakeholders to meet the targets and deliver benefits to the farming community. â
