POONCH: Deputy Commissioner Poonch Ashok Kumar Sharma on Sunday conducted an extensive tour of Tehsil Mandi, where he inspected the progress of up-gradation work on Chandak–Mandi road and the status of patient care services at the local Sub District Hospital.
During the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner assessed the road condition and directed the Executive Engineer (Xen) PWD to ensure the completion of blacktopping work well before the onset of winter and snowfall. He emphasized maintaining quality standards during the execution of the work to ensure durability and smooth connectivity for commuters.
The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by Tehsildar Mandi, Ashfaq Hussain, Xen PWD Surankote, Imtiaz Mir, Xen PWD Poonch, Shakeel Ahmed and other concerned officers during the visit.
Later, the Deputy Commissioner visited the Sub District Hospital (SDH) Mandi to take stock of patient care services. He inspected the hospital wards, interacted with patients and medical staff to get feedback on healthcare facilities being provided to the public. He reviewed cleanliness and hygiene conditions in and around the hospital premises. He directed the hospital administration to maintain proper sanitation and ensure a patient-friendly environment.
