POONCH: District Development Commissioner Poonch, Ashok Kumar Sharma today chaired a comprehensive meeting here at Dak Banglow to review arrangements and discuss strategies for the successful conduct of Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas (Tribal Pride Day)–2025 activities being organized to mark 150th birth anniversary of legendary Tribal Freedom Fighter Birsa Munda.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on various aspects of the upcoming event, including logistic arrangements, mobilization of tribal communities for the awareness activities, departmental activities, including setting up of stalls, folk and cultural performances, provision of water and power supply at the venue, stage decoration, and inter-departmental coordination to ensure the smooth and meaningful celebration of the event.
The DDC emphasized the importance of collective efforts and directed all Heads of Departments (HODs) of line departments to ensure effective coordination for the successful organization and implementation of the programme at the grassroots level.
He further instructed the concerned officers to make adequate arrangements for medical camps, cultural events, departmental exhibitions, stage decoration, public addressing systems and other logistical requirements in accordance with their assigned roles and responsibilities.
It was also informed that a mega event will be organized on November 15, marking the culmination of the week-long celebrations and highlighting various welfare initiatives and government schemes for the tribal communities.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Pankaj Magotra, ADC Tahir Mustafa Malik, PO ICDS Khalid Hussain Wafa, SE PWD Kewal Kumar besides other district and sectoral officers were present in the meeting.
