REASI: Deputy Commissioner Reasi Nidhi Malik today chaired a comprehensive meeting to finalise arrangements for the upcoming “Ati Maha Vishnu Yagya” scheduled to be held at Pawan Puri, Pouni from December 4 to 14 2025. Additional Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Kumar; Assistant Commissioner Revenue Nitin Verma; Assistant Commissioner Development Vijay Kumar, XEN and Committee member of Ati Maha Vishnu Yagya attended the meeting.
The Deputy Commissioner reviewed the preparedness of the stakeholder departments and issued directions to ensure the smooth, safe and well-coordinated arrangements for the religious event. Detailed deliberations were held on traffic regulation, sanitation, drinking water arrangements, uninterrupted power supply, medical facilities and security management.
The JPDCL was directed to ensure regular power supply and arrange additional generators as backup. The XEN Jal Shakti Department was instructed to provide continuous drinking water supply and station water tankers at identified locations. The department was further tasked with barricading the venue for smooth crowd movement and public safety.
Deputy Commissioner Malik informed that a sufficient number of CCTV cameras have been installed across the venue to enhance security surveillance. Security measures will be strengthened by deployment of adequate police personnel, including female staff to ensure women’s safety. A dedicated team from the Fire and Emergency Services would be stationed at the venue to respond swiftly to any emergency. Medical teams, comprising doctors and paramedical staff, along with ambulance services would be available round-the-clock for immediate medical assistance.
The PWD was instructed to repair potholes and carry out necessary repairs at the PWD Dak Bungalow. The EO Reasi was asked to arrange mobile toilets and makeshift toilet units to ensure public convenience and maintain cleanliness around the venue.
The meeting decided to organise a public awareness camp as part of the event with a special focus on healthy living and Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan. “The departments will also set up stalls to promote respective schemes and initiatives, besides providing different services,” the DC said. The DC stressed coordinated efforts by all departments to ensure seamless arrangements for the visiting devotees The Additional Deputy Commissioner was designated as the Nodal Officer for the event to ensure effective coordination and timely execution of all arrangements.
