RAMBAN: The State Bank of India Rural Self Employment Training Institute (SBI RSETI) Ramban today organized a comprehensive Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme (EAP) at Thalibass, drawing active participation from over 25 local female and male youth and community members. The initiative aimed to promote entrepreneurship, skill development and financial awareness among the rural population.
The programme was presided over by Director Harvinder Singh, who interacted with the participants and highlighted the free skill development training programmes offered by the institute. He reiterated SBI RSETIâs commitment to empowering rural youth by equipping them with market-relevant skills that can help them establish sustainable livelihood opportunities.
During the session, the Director provided detailed information on various Government-sponsored loan schemes, including PMEGP, JKREGP and Mudra, outlining the financial support available for aspiring entrepreneurs to start their ventures. He also briefed the participants about the Mission YUVA scheme and encouraged the youth to fully utilize such platforms for enhancing their skills and securing self-employment.
In addition, participants were sensitized to key Social Security Schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Atal Pension Yojana (APY) and Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana (SSY). He explained their benefits, eligibility criteria and the enrollment process, urging community members to adopt these schemes for long-term financial security.
The attendees expressed gratitude to SBI RSETI Ramban for organizing the awareness programme at Thalibass and appreciated the outreach efforts that brought valuable guidance to their locality. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, with an assurance of more such initiatives in the future.
