BHADERWAH: District Development Council (DDC) Chairman Doda, Dhananter Singh Kotwal today conducted an extensive tour of the Panchayat Katyara to review ongoing development works and assess the implementation of government schemes at the grassroots level. The visit was aimed at ensuring transparency, accountability and effective utilization of public resources under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi.
The DDC Chairman was accompanied by ACD, Din Mohammad and BDO Bhaderwah, Yasir Wani. The team interacted with the local residents and took a firsthand account of the developmental activities and requirements.
The locals projected several demands seeking road connectivity, drinking water supply, sanitation and rural employment generation. Chairman, Kotwal gave a patient hearing to the people and assured them that all genuine grievances would be redressed in a time-bound manner. He urged the local representatives to actively participate in the developmental process to achieve inclusive growth.
The Chairman issued on the spot directions to the concerned officers for accelerating pace of ongoing projects, especially those under MGNREGA, PMAY and SBM. He emphasized quality work and regular field inspections to maintain transparency in project implementation. He further directed the officers to prioritize relief and rehabilitation works for the families affected by recent natural calamities and cloudburst incidents, ensuring that adequate assistance reaches the affected households without delay.
Reiterating the governmentâs focus on rural empowerment, infrastructure upgradation and social welfare, Chairman Kotwal highlighted the importance of coordination among departments for better delivery of services. He stressed the need to adopt a participatory approach in developmental planning and urged officials to ensure that the benefits of centrally sponsored and UT-level schemes reach every deserving citizen. The tour concluded with an assurance from the Chairman that regular monitoring visits would continue to track progress and address public grievances promptly.
