JAMMU: Former Deputy Mayor Jammu & senior BJP leader Baldev Singh Billawaria kick started the development work at Mangal Enclave, Gangyal in RS Pura-Jammu South constituency. In this development work, the construction work of paver tiles on the roads, repairs of drains along with the installation of iron gratings on the drains will be done under the supervision of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC).
Speaking on the occasion, Billawaria said that this development work was an old demand of the people of the area, which has now been fulfilled. He said that due to the dilapidated condition of the road, the pedestrians were facing a lot of trouble in passing but now the completion of this construction work will provide great relief to the residents. He said that due to the election code of conduct, the development work had stopped for some time, but now the work has been started again on a war footing all over the area.
Billawaria said that during his tenure as Deputy Mayor of Jammu, he had put these development works in the pipeline to meet the demands of the people and today the same development works are being started. He said, "I am happy that I am getting the opportunity to start the development works which I had planned." He said that during his tenure he tried to get development works done in every area of Jammu so that development could be provided to the people at their doorsteps. He highlighted the significant support shown by the people in the Lok Sabha elections to the decisions of the Modi government in Jammu and Kashmir.
Billawaria further said that to establish the path of peace and development, people expressed their faith in the BJP party for the third time and defeated Congress from the Jammu Lok Sabha seat. He also said that with the dedication of the party workers and the trust of the people, the BJP is fully prepared for the assembly elections and the next government in Jammu and Kashmir will be formed by the BJP.
Local residents and social workers thanked Billawaria for the development of the area and assured full support to the BJP in the upcoming assembly elections.
