DODA: Government Degree College (GDC) Kastigarh today organized a pledge-taking ceremony to mark the 5th Anniversary of the Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan, an initiative aimed at combating substance abuse across the nation.

The programme was conducted under the guidance and supervision of Prof. Koshal Mangotra, Principal of the College, who emphasised the importance of youth participation in building a healthy and progressive society.

The event focused on spreading awareness about the harmful effects of drug and substance abuse, highlighting how addiction negatively impacts individuals, families and the social fabric.

The speakers stressed the urgent need for collective action to create a drug-free environment for youth who represent the future of the nation. Awareness messages, motivational insights and real-life examples were shared to help students understand the long-term consequences of drug dependency.

The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Dr. Arjun Singh, who encouraged students to actively contribute to anti-drug campaigns within their communities.
