PULWAMA: In a determined effort to curb unlawful activities, J&K Police conducted a series of coordinated raids across the district Pulwama, targeting individuals and premises associated with the proscribed organisation “Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI)”, banned under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
Acting on credible intelligence inputs, multiple police teams, assisted by other security agencies, carried out simultaneous search operations at several identified locations. The operation was aimed at tracing networks and individuals attempting to revive JeI’s activities through covert and proxy means.
During these searches, incriminating materials including electronic devices, documents, and printed literature linked to the banned outfit were recovered and seized for examination. Several suspects have been detained for questioning to verify their involvement in unlawful or subversive activities. These operations are part of J&K Police’s sustained preventive strategy to dismantle the terror–separatist ecosystem, disrupt its ideological and financial networks, and ensure that peace and normalcy remain undisturbed in the district.
J&K Police reaffirm their firm resolve to continue strict action against all individuals and entities associated with proscribed organisations to ensure lasting peace, stability, and security in the region.
