BUDGAM: Continuing its action against the proscribed organization Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI), banned under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), J&K Police conducted coordinated search operations at multiple locations across the district Budgam.
The raids were carried out at the residences and premises of JeI members and their associates in Soibugh, Magam, Khansahib, Beerwah, Chadoora and Charar-i-Sharief areas. The operation, conducted as per due legal procedures, aimed to trace incriminating materials, documents and electronic evidence indicating continued association with the banned outfit.
J&K Police reaffirms its commitment to dismantling the terror ecosystem and eradicating the support structures of proscribed organizations to ensure lasting peace and security in the district.
