AWANTIPORA: As part of the public outreach programme, J&K Police organized “Thana Diwas” across the Police District Awantipora. The meetings were chaired by the respective jurisdictional police officers and attended by various public representatives, members of trade associations, and other respectable citizens of the concerned areas.
During the interactions, participants raised several issues of public importance. They were assured that genuine grievances related to police will be addressed on priority, while those pertaining to other departments will be taken up with the concerned authorities for early redressal.
Thana Diwas is an initiative of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir aimed at bridging the gap between police and the public, and ensuring timely redressal of public grievances through regular interaction.
