RAMBAN: As part of the nationwide Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh Pakhwada (1st–15th November 2025), Janjatiya Diwas was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Government Higher Secondary School (HSS) Sangaldan. The event was organized to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, the iconic tribal freedom fighter who led a valiant struggle against British rule and became a symbol of tribal pride and resistance.
During the programme, students and staff highlighted the life, teachings and contribution of Bhagwan Birsa Munda through speeches, cultural performances and thematic displays showcasing the rich culture, traditions and heritage of tribal communities.
Speaking on the occasion, the principal emphasized the importance of preserving tribal identity and acknowledging the vital role of tribal leaders in India’s freedom movement. The event concluded with a pledge to uphold the values of unity, equality and cultural pride inspired by Bhagwan Birsa Munda’s legacy.
