SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Students Association (JKSA) National Convenor Nasir Khuehami has expressed heartfelt gratitude to all those who extended support, solidarity, and prayers following the devastating fire incident that completely gutted his residential house in Watapora, Bandipora.
In a statement issued, Khuehami said, I am deeply humbled and immensely grateful for the overwhelming outpouring of sympathy, prayers, and support from across the country. In this moment of great personal loss, your kindness and compassion have been a source of immense strength for me and my family.
He said he is grateful to everyone from all walks of life including Members of Parliament, Chief Ministers, former Chief Ministers, Ministers, friends, MLAs, members of civil society, concerned citizens, private school owners, and countless well-wishers across the country.
He expressed special gratitude to the Leaders of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha; leaders from the INC, BJP, TMC, Shiv Sena, AIMIM, and RJD, former Minister and MLA from Bandipora; IAS officers, IPS Officers, DGPs, Aligarh Muslim University Alumni Association, Jamia Millia Islamia Alumni Association; concerned citizen groups; journalist associations; Jammu and Kashmir Students Association; NGOs and humanitarian organizations; Mirwaiz Kashmir; religious leaders; tradersâ federation; academia; NSUI; AISA; SFI; Gujjar, Bakerwal, and Pahari associations; pensionersâ associations; and private school associations and others for their calls, visits, messages, and emotional support during this difficult period.
Khuehami further said that the support and concern shown by people from different sections of society reaffirmed his faith in the power of humanity and collective compassion. âWords fall short to express my gratitude. The encouragement, empathy, and solidarity shown by everyone have given us the courage to rebuild and move forward,â he added.
He also extended special thanks to the Jammu and Kashmir Students Association for standing firmly with him and his family during this difficult time and for offering all possible assistance. âThough the loss is irreparable, the love and support I have received from people across the country have given me renewed strength and hope to begin again,â he added.
