- Urged Omar Led government to give special focus for development in this areas
JAMMU: Addressing a series of workers meetings of Tara, Janka, Dansal, Bagga, Badsoo and saleh areas. Mrs. Shamim Begum Candidate 77- Nagrota Assembly Constituency said that the Kandi Belt of Bhalwal and Mathwar has been completely ignored by the LG administration, exposing its discriminatory and step-motherly attitude towards the rural and hilly areas of Jammu despite repeated appeals by the people, the administration has failed to address the long pending issues of drinking water scarcity, poor road connectivity, health and education infrastructure and unemployment in these backward belts.
The L.G regime, acting under the directions of the BJP-led Centre, has turned a blind eye towards the genuine grievances of the residents of these areas, Instead of focusing on development and welfare, the administration is busy in publicity and hollow promises.
The Omar led Government, on the other hand, always gave special attention to the upliftment of neglected regions, including the Kandi belt by launching various schemes for roads, irrigation, and rural development. The Present dispensation has reversed that progress and pushed the people of these areas towards despair and deprivation.
Shamim Begum strongly urge the Government to immediately take concrete steps for the development of Bhalwal and Mathwar ensuring adequate budgetary allocation, infrastructure improvement, and implementation of employment schemes for the local youth. Neglecting these regions any further will only widen the gap between the administration and the people.
Among those who were present included: Vijay Lochan Chairman SC Cell,Abdul Gani Teli Chairman OBC Cell, Rakesh Singh Raka Vice President Central Zone, Kuldeep Sharma, Mehmood Rizvi Advocate and others.
