KISHTWAR: The Directorate of Tourism Jammu, in association with the District Administration Kishtwar and the J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages, organized a grand "Mata Ka Jagran" at Shri Chandi Mata Bhawan in Machail. The event was spearheaded by Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav, to mark the commencement of the Annual Shree Machail Yatra.
The Jagran, held on the eve of the first day of the yatra, was a vibrant and spiritually uplifting event. ADC Kishtwar, Pawan Kotwal, along with CEO Kishtwar Development Authority Dr Rishi Kumar Sharma, AO DC Office Satinder Kumar besides other officials from the Machail Yatra Cell, were present to oversee and support the proceedings. The event was also graced by the presence of hundreds of devotees, who gathered to seek blessings and participate in the festivities.
The night was filled with devotional fervor, featuring live performances by renowned artists such as Chaman Lehri and Daljeet Singh Rathore. Their soulful renditions and devotional songs created a serene and divine atmosphere, captivating the audience throughout the night.
Deputy Commissioner Dr. Devansh Yadav expressed his felicitations to all the participating organizations and artists for their efforts in making the event a grand success. The event marked the beginning of the much-anticipated pilgrimage, with devotees embarking on their journey to the holy shrine of Shri Chandi Mata. The District Administration has made extensive arrangements to ensure the safety and comfort of the pilgrims, including setting up camps, medical facilities, and security measures.
