AWANTIPORA: Police in Awantipora organised a Cyber Awareness Programme at Government Degree College (GDC) Awantipora, headed by the IC District Technical Team PD Awantipora. The programme was attended by teachers and students and aimed to promote awareness about cyber frauds and safe online practices.
During the session, the officer advised participants to adopt secure browsing habits, avoid sharing OTPs or bank details, and remain vigilant during online transactions. Attendees were also cautioned against engaging with unknown persons on social media and were briefed about the latest trends in cyber threats and preventive measures. Participants appreciated the efforts of Police and the District Technical Team for organising such an informative and awareness-oriented programme on cyber safety.
