GANDERBAL: Continuing its efforts to curb the menace of drug abuse and to promote a drug-free society, Police in Ganderbal under the Civic Action Programme (CAP) today organized a “Drug Awareness Programme” at Government Degree College, Kangan.
The event was chaired by SDPO Kangan Shri Rajeev Raina-JKPS, who was accompanied by Principal Degree College Kangan Professor Sadaf Nazir & other senior police officers. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation of students, faculty members, and local youth.
During the event, the speakers sensitized the participants about the harmful effects of drug abuse on individuals, families, and society at large. They also highlighted the collective role of parents, teachers, and law enforcement agencies in eradicating this social evil from the roots.
As a token of encouragement, mementos and certificates of appreciation were distributed among the participants for their active involvement in the event. Police reaffirmed its commitment to continue its fight against drug menace through community outreach, awareness drives, and strict legal action against drug peddlers in the district.
