PULWAMA: In a sustained crackdown on drug trafficking and substance abuse, Police in Pulwama recorded another success by seizing a sizable quantity of contraband at Okhoo Kakapora and arrested one accused person involved in the commission of crime.
A police team from Police Station Kakpora, while conducting routine naka checking at Okhoo Kakpora, intercepted a TATA 207 vehicle bearing registration number JK01Q-0468. The vehicle was driven by Javaid Ahmad Dar alias Jana Dar son of Mohd Maqbool resident of Okhoo Kakpora. Upon thorough inspection, the police recovered 5.565 kilograms of suspected poppy straw from the vehicle.
Following the recovery, a case FIR No. 69/2025 under Sections 8/15 of the NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Kakpora, and investigation has been initiated to ascertain further links in the case. Police reaffirm their unwavering commitment to eliminating the drug menace from society. Citizens are urged to cooperate with the police by sharing any information that could assist in curbing drug trafficking and other unlawful activities.
