JAMMU: The Satyug Darshan Sangeet Kala Kendra recently hosted an Inter-District Music and Art Competition, which saw participation from talented young students from across various schools. Over 580 students from 27 schools participated in the competition, showcasing their talent. The event aimed at promoting India's rich Classical Traditions. The event was held at the Brigadier Rajinder Singh auditorium, University campus Jammu and was attended by a large audience of music and art enthusiasts.
The competition was divided into various categories, including solo dance, solo song, Folk and Devotional song, dance, Rangoli making. The participants showcased their skills and talents, and were judged by a panel of experts from the Satyug Darshan Sangeet Kala Kendra.
The winners were awarded trophies and medals. The team of ten students Aditi Nayak, Advika Arora, Ridhima, Chaavi Bhardwaj Kanav Verma, Adhayanveer Singh, Akarshit Dev Singh, Aradhya Sharma, Tawishi, Puneeta Bhardwaj, from Maharishi Vidya Mandir school won the first prize in the Nukkad natak category, Mehak Thakur bagged the second prize in the Solo song category.
The event was attended by Chief Guest Mr. Satish Sharma, Cabinet Minister, J&K Government, Guest of Honour Sham Choudhary, former minister, Vice President BJP and Dr. Atul Hans, director and Principal of IDRS school Jammu, who praised the students for their outstanding performances. "It's heartening to see such talented young minds from different schools and said. "The Satyug Darshan Sangeet Kala Kendra is doing a commendable job in promoting music and art among the youth.
