JAMMU: A joint delegation of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) Leh & Kargil comprising Mr. Rigzin Spalbar, Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC Leh; Mr. Sonam Dorje, Executive Councillor (EC), LAHDC Leh; Mr. Kacho Ahmad Ali Khan, Councillor LAHDC Kargil; Mr. Phunchok Tashi, Councillor, LAHDC Kargil; and Haji Ghulam Amir, former Executive Councilor, LAHDC Kargil, called on Mr. N.N. Vohra, Governor, here at the Raj Bhavan today.
The delegation apprised the Governor about various problems, including the urgent release of the balance Annual Plan funds for Ladakh; clearance of the pending liabilities on account of development works carried out in Ladakh; urgent clearance of the blockage of Phuktal river; commencing teaching work in the Leh and Kargil satellite campuses of the Kashmir University; early opening of Zojila road and urgent decision regarding the pension cases of CECs and ECs of LAHDC. The delegation also discussed with the Governor the functioning of the New Administrative Units in Ladakh. The Governor assured the delegation that their demands would be duly looked into.
