JAGTI: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu concluded the Nurturing Future Leadership Programme, under the aegis of the Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Programme, Ministry of Education, Govt of India, with a grand valedictory ceremony held at Jagti Campus on 22nd Nov 2024. The program, held from 18thJune to 22nd Nov 2024, aimed to equip educators with essential leadership skills.
The valedictory ceremony was graced by the presence of Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu. Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu, invited feedback and suggestions regarding the five- day, âNurturing Future Leadership Programmeâ at IIM Jammu. The participants shared their experiences and offered their suggestions.
Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu, emphasized the crucial role of educators in shaping the future and invited suggestions for further enhancing the program. He commended the Ministry of Education for their initiative and stressed the alignment of the programâs objectives with national educational goals. He remarked that receiving feedback from faculty colleagues is heartening and provides significant motivation to the faculty members at the Institute.
He highlighted the importance of the five-day program, noting that participants likely wrote down their expectations at the beginning and encouraged them to assess whether these expectations were met. According to him, the success of the program belongs to all the participants and the faculty members of the Institute. He also emphasized that IIM Jammu and its faculty members are open to collaborating on joint research papers, with all faculty profiles available on the instituteâs website. This openness and transparency at the Institute aims to foster connections and collaborative work in the interest of academia and the nation.â
Dr.Ateeque Shaikh, Program Chair and Chairperson, Executive Education and Consultancy IIM Jammu, expressed his happiness with the suggestions, feedback, and enthusiasm from the participants. He also highlighted that the Nurturing Future Leadership Programme successfully achieved its objectives and met the participants expectations. He emphasized that the valedictory ceremony marks not the end but thebeginning of a new journey, fostering a strong network amongst yourselves for knowledgesharing and collaboration.
Present on the occasion were Dr. Pratik Maheshwari, ProgramChair and Co-Chairperson, Executive Education, IIM Jammu. This was followed by the distribution ofcertificates to all the participants, recognizing their successful completion of the NurturingFuture Leadership Programme. The certificates serve as a testament to their dedication andhard work throughout the program.Dr. Pratik Maheshwari Program Director, IIM Jammu,proposed the vote of thanks. The event culminated with the national anthem, marking the endof a transformative journey for the participants.
The Nurturing Future Leadership Programme reaffirms IIM Jammuâs commitment todeveloping future leaders in education. Through such initiatives, the institute continues toempower educators with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to make a meaningful impacton society. The programme was coordinated by Executive Education and Consultancy, (EE &C), IIM Jammu.
