KUPWARA: Continuing the efforts to provide sustainable livelihood to the unemployed youth of the district, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan, who is also the Chairman of the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) today handed over the keys of nine subsidized commercial vehicles and 14 sales letter under ‘MUMKIN’ scheme to the beneficiaries in a function held at DC Office Complex Kupwara.
The Assistant Director Employment DE&CC Kupwara, Arshid Ahmad Bhat; Career Counseling Officer, Employment Officer, Lead District Manager Kupwara and representatives from different automobile companies were present on the occasion. The DC said that the administration is working hard and steps are being taken to provide better employment avenues for the youth through systematic livelihood generation programmes so that they can live a dignified life.
While complimenting the beneficiaries, the DC emphasized upon them to work with passion and dedication to earn a decent livelihood with dignity. She also advised them to work with determination for making profitable use of the vehicle in the commercial sector.
“Concerned officers have been directed to bring more progressive youth under the ambit of the scheme by generating requisite awareness among them,” she added. She also appealed to eligible youth to come forward and avail livelihood benefits under different livelihood generation schemes of the government.
