• 400 cases Approved by DLIC

KUPWARA: The District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) Kupwara, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Shrikant Suse, today reviewed progress under Mission YUVA.  Following a thorough review and discussions, the Committee approved 400 eligible applications for financial assistance and capacity-building support to foster entrepreneurship development. Committee also approved eligible cases from terror victims families for self employment under mission Yuva.

During the meeting , the DC emphasized focusing on specific potential groups, including college students, Self-Help Group members (particularly Lakhpati Didis), Vishwakarma-sponsored artisans, and existing nano-enterprises for upgradation. He stressed the importance of meticulously preparing Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) to minimize the risk of business unit failures and highlighted the need for continuous capacity building of applicants.

The Deputy Commissioner underscored the significance of Mission YUVA in empowering local youth and promoting sustainable livelihoods. He also directed the Lead District Manager to monitor the disbursement process of sanctioned cases by every bank branch on a daily basis. 

The DLIC reaffirmed its commitment to supporting youth-led enterprises and promoting self-employment in Kupwara.It was informed in the meeting that total 752 cases have been sanctioned by banks and in 576 cases loan has been disbursed.

The meeting was attended by ADDC Kupwara, Mufti Fareed Ud Din; Lead District Manager,  Social Welfare Officer, JKEDI, Career Counselling Officer Employment, and other relevant officials.
