DODA: Government Degree College Doda, in collaboration with its NSS Unit, celebrated the 150th Anniversary of the National Song “Vande Mataram” with enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. The celebration served as a tribute to India’s cultural identity and the timeless legacy of Bankim Chandra Chatterjee, whose iconic composition became the rallying cry of the nation’s freedom movement.

The event commenced with a pledge ceremony, where all teaching and non-teaching staff members reaffirmed their commitment to uphold the ideals of national unity, integrity, and respect for the motherland. The collective recital of Vande Mataram filled the campus with a deep sense of pride, evoking emotions of gratitude and reverence for the sacrifices made during India’s struggle for independence.

Speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr. Javed Iqbal emphasized that Vande Mataram is not merely a song but a powerful expression of India’s spirit, symbolizing devotion, courage and unity.  The programme concluded in an atmosphere of patriotism and collective harmony, as the participants pledged to carry forward the ideals of love, respect and service towards the nation.
