JAMMU: The Department of Education, University of Jammu observed the fourth day of Library Week with an engaging visit to the Dhanvantri Library, reflecting the department’s commitment to nurturing strong reading habits and intellectual curiosity among students.
Azmat Choudhary, Assistant Librarian, warmly welcomed the group upon their arrival at the library. She gave a comprehensive tour of the library’s facilities, highlighting its diverse collection of books, journals, digital resources, and research tools.
Students were introduced to the structure of the library and the various services available to support academic work, including the Sri Aurobindo Ghosh Section, Periodical Section, Stack Area 1, and Stack Area 2. The tour enabled students to understand how library resources can support their academic growth and enhance their learning experience.
The Library Week celebration concluded with a vote of thanks by Sonika Sharma, Professional Assistant. She also played a pivotal role as a mentor, evaluator, and advocate for students’ educational development.
