RAMBAN: The three-day Inter Group Centre and Battalion Yoga Competition 2026, organized under the aegis of Jammu Sector CRPF by 84 Battalion CRPF concluded today at its Tactical Headquarters, Chanerkote Boom- Ramban. The tournament was organized with the objective of promoting fitness, discipline, mental well-being and encouraging yoga as a way of life among CRPF personnel.

Commandant 84 Bn CRPF N. Ranbir Singh, appreciated the efforts of the participants and organizers, stating, “Yoga is not merely a form of exercise; it is a path to inner strength, mental clarity and spiritual growth. Incorporating yoga into the daily routine of CRPF personnel will go a long way in ensuring operational readiness, professional excellence and personal well-being.”

He said that yoga, an ancient Indian discipline, is increasingly being recognized as a powerful tool for managing stress, improving concentration and maintaining overall health qualities essential for personnel serving in high-pressure environments.

The competition brought together 17 teams from various battalions and Group Centres of the Jammu Sector, who performed a wide range of asanas, pranayama techniques and group yoga sequences under the guidance of experienced instructors.

The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, during which the best-performing teams and individuals were awarded trophies, medals and certificates in recognition of their outstanding performances.

The competition highlighted CRPF’s commitment towards promoting physical fitness, mental resilience and holistic well-being among its personnel through the practice of yoga.
