JAMMU: The first-ever Adhoc Paragliding Association of Jammu & Kashmir Union Territory has been unanimously constituted, marking a landmark achievement for adventure sports in the region and opening a new era for paragliding enthusiasts and professional pilots across the Union Territory.
The newly formed body aims to accelerate the development of paragliding in Jammu & Kashmir by creating an official platform for athletes to participate under the JKUT Games banner while promoting structured training, transparent selection processes, institutional support, and CSR-backed sponsorship opportunities.

The formation of this association is expected to provide long-awaited recognition to paragliding athletes from every corner of the Union Territory. The body will work closely with the LG Administration, government departments, concerned authorities, and sports associations to secure official approval of paragliding sites and establish Jammu & Kashmir as a premier destination for global paragliding tourism.
The breathtaking and untouched landscapes of Jammu & Kashmir are naturally emerging as the next adventure sports hub for the world paragliding community. The association has pledged to work tirelessly to transform this dream into reality.
Speaking after taking charge as President, Aman Gupta said that Jammu & Kashmir is expected to soon host national and international paragliding events with participation from multiple states, adding that the sport is rapidly gaining popularity among the youth of the Union Territory.
