JAMMU: In connection with the ongoing Vigilance Awareness Week 2024, an awareness program was organized by ACB for the officers and officials of the Revenue and Custodian Departments at Jammu. The main event was held in the Conference Hall of DC Office, Jammu which was attended by DC Jammu and ADC Jammu. The officers and officials of Doda, Rajouri and Udhampur attended the event through virtual mode. DC Doda also attended the event. Shri Charanjit Singh, former MLA was Chief Guest on the occasion.
Smt. Champa Sharma, DySP ACB presented a comprehensive Power Point Presentation on the types of complaints received by ACB and case studies involving the Revenue and Custodian Departments. SSP ACB Jammu Shri Kulwant Singh Jasrotia, JKPS, addressed various corruption-related issues, highlighting its adverse effects on society and discussing methods to curb and eliminate it.
Shri Charanjit Singh, former MLA commended the efforts of ACB in raising awareness among the general public and officers of the Revenue and Custodian Departments on corruption-related issues and for presenting detailed case studies from ACB investigations involving departmental officers and officials. He also emphasized the importance of maintaining integrity in both public and private life.
An awareness program for officers and officials of the Geology and Mining Department from the districts of Jammu, Samba, and Kathua as well as for the general public including tractor/ trolley and crusher owners was organized by ACB in the Conference Hall of the DC Office in Kathua.
Shri Sunny Gupta, DySP ACB presented a detailed Power Point Presentation on the types of complaints received by ACB against the Geology and Mining Department. Deputy Commissioner of Kathua, Shri Rakesh Minhas, IAS was the Chief Guest on this occasion. He praised the efforts of ACB in sensitizing both the general public and the officers of the Geology and Mining Department. During these events, participant feedback was collected through mobile app to gauge awareness levels and gather suggestions for enhancing anti-corruption initiatives.
